
The first subscale Specter airframe is built. Carbon fiber composite, laid up and finished in house, and the first time Specter has existed as something you can pick up instead of something you can render.
The model was never the point. The process was. We needed to know whether a small team could produce a complex blended-wing-body shape in composites, to tolerance, without the hard tooling and the headcount a program like this normally assumes. That question's answered, and the same process is what scales up.
It also gives us something to test instead of simulate. Wind tunnel work comes next, to check the aerodynamic model against reality, alongside computational signature analysis of the full-scale geometry.
Where this actually sits: it's a subscale article. It doesn't fly, it isn't a prototype, and no full-scale hardware exists. What it establishes is a manufacturing baseline we can build the real aircraft on.
