Standoff Range
Standoff-class engagement envelope keeps the launch platform outside threat coverage. Strike without overflight. The aircraft releases and egresses before target-area defenses are relevant — range is the first layer of survivability.

Design Rationale
Why This System
Standoff Architecture
Standoff-class range keeps the launch aircraft outside integrated air defense coverage. The missile navigates the threat environment; the aircraft does not.
Multi-Mode Guidance
INS/GPS mid-course with active radar terminal homing. Precision terminal engagement. Designed to operate in GPS-degraded and actively jammed environments with inertial fallback.
Internal Carriage
Deployable wing geometry collapses to fit internal bays of fighter-class and bomber-class platforms. No external drag penalty during ingress to target area.
VLS Compatibility
ST-C1S adds a solid booster stage and adapts for Mk 41 vertical launch systems on surface combatants — same guidance and warhead, extended launch platform compatibility.
Turbofan Sustainer
Small turbofan propulsion provides efficient cruise at subsonic speeds for maximum range. Fuel-efficient cruise extends engagement reach well beyond legacy alternatives.
Relocatable Targeting
Terminal seeker architecture supports engagement of relocatable and time-sensitive targets. Not dependent on pre-loaded coordinates for final intercept.
